It feels like yesterday I was sitting here in my quiet house with my husband, in-laws, relatives… everybody was waiting when I was going to go into labor. 2 years ago today I was schedule to be induced. The doctor told me not to eat anything, pack my bags and meet her at the hospital at 7pm. Of course I didn’t listen, I went home and made myself the most disgusting pizza ever… I dump everything I could find on that dough, even chocolate. So we head to the hospital, got prep for induction for the next day and the doctor left. As soon as she left I start feeling squirmy I kept paging the nurse and whining about the needles I HATE needles! I told her I’m in labor they laugh and say I was maybe dehydrated so they put in an IV. They had no reason to believe that I would be in labor since I wasn’t even dilated. The doctors was leaning more toward a c-section, they weren’t optimistic that the induction would work, they had install all kind of giant needles in my arm did I mention I hate needles? Before we went to the Hospital my husband and I we pray that God would favor us they same He favored the Israelite women back in Egypt, (they were so strong they would have their babies before the midwife arrive so like that Pharaoh wouldn’t know about the Israelite babies to have them kill) Boy did He favor us. When I wouldn’t stop paging the nurse, she was like “you not in labor honey you not even dilated” so my hubby (love him) had to put his foot down! He told them well she is in pain would you check her again? So she did and there she was! kailee’s head. In about an hour and a half span I was dilated ready to have a baby. The nurse acted like she saw a ghost. She went screaming in the hall looking for a Dr… well the doctor did it make it back on time. Kailee came 7lbs 21.5 inches and a 3 inches ‘fro. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen! now she is officially 2 year old and I’m asking where did the time go?
