In my quest of living an healthy life (uh-hum) more like trying to live a healthy life. I decide to go back to the gym. I didn’t want to be a total hypocrite you know, I’m trying to practice what I preach. Yesterday I didn’t think or debate it (since my head always win) I just go! I walked right in the middle of an aerobics class and I was like YEAH! this is fun! I can do this! they just dancing it can’t be that hard can it? 15 minutes later… (catching my breath) Can it? YES IT CAN! My heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest, my throat was so hot I was about to pass out.
It never occur to me that I was soooooooo out of shape! You have a baby and the objective is to get that tummy down! and I did… sorta I’m back to 122 lbs not so bad right? Besides everybody always tell me how good I look after the babies. Aside from the part that I have a 90 year old man heart that can’t even go half a mile. BEWARE BEWARE! My advice to you: Try your very best to get yourself into some kinda exercise program. Will it be walking, running, go up and down the step with the baby on your neck for 100 times, dance to the fresh beats band with your toddler, push the stroller around the park, Yoga or just a quick 20 mn walk on your lunch break if you are a working mom JUST DO IT!

Even if like me you already got your tummy back (sorta) and you don’t feel the need to work-out, do it for your heart & your joints!(ouch!) You heart loves you, so Love it back!

So moms…What kinda exercise activity do you do if any?

  • Well summer makes it a lot easier to be healthy – I’m in Chicago so I guess I hide under layers in the winter. But when it’s summer, I take tons of walks and bike rides along the lake (Lake Michigan). I do hit the gym in the winter – but I am only successful if there is a TV nearby where I can watch HGTV (my secret addiction…I get tons of ideas and implement none of them).

It’s really shocking how easy it is to get out of shape post-baby though!

    goodluck!

  • My biggest workout this week has been holding clothes while shopping for TWO hours at the Goodwill Store. Seriously, I probably had 12 pairs of jeans at one time.

    And I’m sore. :)

Hubby is a personal trainer though and he has a lot of creative exercises for me to try. Sparkpeople.com is actually a really good resource if you want videos.
