Today is the day we received the greatest give of all, we receive Jesus!

I love the spirit of Christmas! after all the commotion at the mall and online
When it’s finally here, we sit back and reflect on what’s it really about… LOVE!

The love of God for us, the love that prompted Him to give His only son for me and you.

As humans, we are inherently selfish, constantly asking, “What about me?’ It’s time to declare war on selfishness with the power of agape love. Lord, Your powerful agape love is amazing. Empower me as I declare war on selfishness and make a decision to, on purpose, live a life of agape love.

2 weeks ago, my pastor shared a word on the subject of Joy and happiness! although it wasn’t the first time hearing it, it was definitely a breath of fresh air.

Joy although it manifest in the exact same manner as happiness, they have different source. Joy comes from the inside and it’s permanent, while happiness comes from the outside and fade away as soon as the object of that brings it pass.

for instance, I’m happy when I get new shoes, but that feeling quickly evaporate after the first or second wear, I’m happy on Fridays because it’s the week end but I soon as Monday rolls in my happiness is gone.

Joy is when the car broke down in the middle of nowhere and the GPS lost signal and about 1 hour late, you are able to take a breather and think about all the good things that you could be grateful for, and also remember that this situation is temporary and does not define your person or the rest of your life.

Lately, I have been focus a lot on my “Happiness” I let so many little things get to me, and makes me less than cheerful. I talk to a friend who was sleeping in a car for two weeks, I learn about a little 3 year old girl whose body was cancer ridden…

Then it hit me! wow, I have been a brat! a totally spoiled brat!

I have so many things to be grateful for, a place to draw my “happiness” from, right down in my heart.

all I had to do was think about the roof over my head that doesn’t leak, my healthy, happy beautiful children, a mother who watch my kids when I’m at work, a husband who fix things, 4 inches heels for $39.99

I could fill this page with good things I’m grateful for, just as I could fill this page with crap that pissed me off. The only difference is which ones I choose to fill my life page with.

I choose JOY!

Hello mamas!
We have a hurricane in the proximity, it’s raining, traffic is horrible, I couldn’t find a parking slot today, because of rainy traffic I was supper late hence the parking problem. The start of a day like would usually send me in whining complaining rant but not today!
I will count my blessings, healthy babies, roof over my head that does leak, food, high heel and skinny jeans (that actually FIT!) I’m grateful!

Now about babies LOL, my bloggy friend over at OkDani who is TTC decide to make herself some babies while she wait using http://www.morphthing.com.
It was super hilarious! the babies looks like they could be hers. Since I can’t really afford anymore babies in real life, I decide to make me some fake ones.

I crop the faces individually and the software morphed our faces to create these babies.

You see all my fake kids are calm straight face kids… my real kids not so much. I have about 1195 pictures of my 2 girls on my phone I went through all of them looking for some straight face pictures to compare with my straight face fake kids. I didn’t have much luck.
