After our pampering session, and junk food overload we play till the girls pass out.
Sunday we went to church

PS: Fun fact the whole month of May is a celebration of mothers, the catholic church call it the month of Mary (being the mother of Jesus and all) in Haiti people wear a red flower for the whole month to celebrate their mom, and their actual mother’s day is on the last sunday on the month and that include Europe (I think..)

Check out my mom's hair cut, the girls opt to wear sandal with their dressy dress because they wanted their toe out. Who am I to say no?

Ok so what about “True Friends“? Who are they?

• Are they the people that you know for a long time?
• Are they the people you talk to on the phone?
• Are they the people who call you when THEY need you?

I can pile up a nice list of requirements for True friends but you guys get the idea.
In my recent experience I have discover several kind of FRIENDS in my repertoire.

• I have the kind who deserted me when I needed them most (I call those mercenaries)
• I have the kind who are more interested in the juicy details of my mess than ME (I call those spectators they are just need a juicy conversation starter)
• I have the kind who take advantage of your situation to their own benefits. (I call those oportunist, they are roaring lion in search of a prey)
• I have the self rightous kind, who are quick to “preach” to me and tell how my situation is from what I did or didn’t do

I started to question myself on the choice of people I surround myself with… Is it my fault? Am I a magnet for heartless jerks?
Right then I find that

• I also have the kind who put their arms around me and whisper an encouraging word and without drilling for juicy details they pray for you.
• I find that I also have the kind who said I’ll stand and fight with you…

So my answer to my own question is no it’s not my fault, I’m not a magnet for heartless jerks! they are just there for a purpose, and that purpose is to teach me a lesson.
A clean up lesson, prune away the useless weeds from my life so the beautiful flowers can bloom!
Spring is coming and I’m excited!

My favorite moment was watching the girls trying to use a rotary dial telephone LOL, poor thing have never seen anything that wasn’t a touch screen. My 4 year old was like “mommy where is the button?” #priceless LOL
By sunday night I was ready to pass out! I ended up going to bed before 9! total record for me, in the flip side I woke up at 2am and couldn’t go back to sleep, but I’m not tired today so it’s a win.

She said mommy for my birthday I want a cake with my face on it… say what? where did she see that? I know I have never seen people faces on cake before.

My baby says she wanted a cake with her face on it! So there.

She said she wanted a bounce house, with all her friend jumping up and down in it.
Only problem, baby girl doesn’t go to school, so baby girl doesn’t really have many freinds LOL so I had to hurl all my freinds and their freinds who has kids to make the party. One of my friend’s baby had the same birthday so we decide to join forces.
Praise God we had a great turn out. They bounce up and down, eat all the cotton candy and cake they could. mine were still high on sugar till 10pm LOL

now my little one started holding her 3 little fingers up to say she’s three, and Big sis said NO Kaylee you’re still 2! I’m 4! Now let see how long they gonna keep claiming the bigger number. LOL

2 weeks ago, my pastor shared a word on the subject of Joy and happiness! although it wasn’t the first time hearing it, it was definitely a breath of fresh air.

Joy although it manifest in the exact same manner as happiness, they have different source. Joy comes from the inside and it’s permanent, while happiness comes from the outside and fade away as soon as the object of that brings it pass.

for instance, I’m happy when I get new shoes, but that feeling quickly evaporate after the first or second wear, I’m happy on Fridays because it’s the week end but I soon as Monday rolls in my happiness is gone.

Joy is when the car broke down in the middle of nowhere and the GPS lost signal and about 1 hour late, you are able to take a breather and think about all the good things that you could be grateful for, and also remember that this situation is temporary and does not define your person or the rest of your life.

Lately, I have been focus a lot on my “Happiness” I let so many little things get to me, and makes me less than cheerful. I talk to a friend who was sleeping in a car for two weeks, I learn about a little 3 year old girl whose body was cancer ridden…

Then it hit me! wow, I have been a brat! a totally spoiled brat!

I have so many things to be grateful for, a place to draw my “happiness” from, right down in my heart.

all I had to do was think about the roof over my head that doesn’t leak, my healthy, happy beautiful children, a mother who watch my kids when I’m at work, a husband who fix things, 4 inches heels for $39.99

I could fill this page with good things I’m grateful for, just as I could fill this page with crap that pissed me off. The only difference is which ones I choose to fill my life page with.

I choose JOY!

Now about babies LOL, my bloggy friend over at OkDani who is TTC decide to make herself some babies while she wait using http://www.morphthing.com.
It was super hilarious! the babies looks like they could be hers. Since I can’t really afford anymore babies in real life, I decide to make me some fake ones.

You see all my fake kids are calm straight face kids… my real kids not so much. I have about 1195 pictures of my 2 girls on my phone I went through all of them looking for some straight face pictures to compare with my straight face fake kids. I didn’t have much luck.

I took this pic with my camera phone down by the inter coastal, of course my favorite hang out spot, when I can’t go down there in the middle of a rocky day I can always look at this picture and remember how marvelous and awesome God is that He will take the time to make something so amazing just for my pleasure.

There’s this one! can you say WOW! I took this one a few month back when I was in Tennessee, it’s a small water fall but the sound of it crashing down each rock it just WOW!
I saw it coming down the hill, and I told my husband we gotta stop and go down there, admire it take a picture or something. In the presence of such beauty I always remember this verse

I’m fortunate enough to live in the beautiful South Florida, where it’s warm ALL THE TIME! and the beautiful beaches are all 20 minutes away or less.
I haven’t been on vacation in 2 years but every week end I can pretend.
I call them my staycations, I wear my big colorful hats, big frame shades and flip flop and be on way. It may be a trip to the grocery store but I can pretend to be a tourist in my own town.
