When we first got married we pretty much had no furniture, we had a giant TV and one white lawn chair. A few months later when our stuff start coming in we had a different project every week and pretty much lives in home depot. When we were done (sigh) it was like one of those HGTV house. We had a contemporary style living inspired by the beautiful south beach hotel we stayed in. Too bad I don’t have a picture to show you so you have to close your eyes and imagine the quietness and gorgeousness of this well kept and clean living area. Until now a 2 year and a 10months old later that’s my life after kids!
I call this one Clean war zone
And this is just a war zone
The funny thing is I don’t miss my HGTV house… Yeah I do… LOL… stop lying Well yea I miss it every night when I have to pick all this stuff up but we make up for it in hugs and kisses.

Been there and am still there! LOL Before I had kids, I had no furniture and ate cereal almost every day for dinner. But kids of course change your life. They need a home environment so of course now we have furniture. But we have a family room and a basement that’s a game room so the war zone parts of my house are limited to those areas! Thank goodness.

My house is the same way! Before I had kids it was always so clean and looked so nice! Heck, even after just my first I was able to keep it pretty clean, but now with 4 BOYS everything is always getting broken and I can’t have as nice and fancy stuff. Now when I think about purchasing new home decor I always look at the price first and if I wouldn’t cry b/c it cost a ton if it got broke then I will buy it. lol
My house wasn’t too organized before kids and it’s about the same now. I pick up the toys while they get out 2 more! It’s kind of crazy.
BEFORE: we could leave things lying around the house and still find it in its place even after a week later.
AFTER: Svet (my daughter) has a gift for “interior design”. She rearranges the contents of the house on a daily basis and you wouldn’t know where to find this or that. Try asking her where she put it and she will just smile at you that sweet smile which seems to say “What mommy? I don’t know what you’re talking about”.
