For the past 3 years my main activities consisted of making babies, having babies and taking care of babies. That leave me with very little time to do anything else, I used to served in my church choir, I was in the choir for 5 years before the kids, after baby #2 I had to take a little hiatus, I find out that getting 2 little girls ready before 8:30Am on a Sunday morning is not as cute as it looks.
I love the choir, I love the people… that’s my hangout spot – these people are the most amazing bunch I’ve ever been around, 4 years ago when I got married they nearly furnished my house, 2 years later when I had the baby they showered me with baby crap, so much that I was able to give my girlfriend a complete set of baby crap for her baby.
So you see, I’ve missed the choir a lot. Now it’s a little easier so I thought I decide to go back, yesterday was my second week back, it felt great. I love singing, you know just have fun worshiping and dancing… yesterday as I was on the pulpit singing, I felt a booger hanging in my nose, I could feel it when I take a breath, it felt big. My first instant is to just use my pointing finger and dig in there, so I went for it and half way almost in there I suddenly remember there are over a thousand people looking at me, and 3 camera pointing in my direction and the service is being telecast online. (Last week when I was a vacay, I watch the telecast service online and saw my friend yawing, I teased her for 2 days, now getting caught digging in my nose would be a field day for them.) I took a detour and wave a Hallelujah instead. It was about time when the praise team leader said “turn around and hug somebody and tell them you glad to see them”
