What do you do when your blog go on a drought?
when it feel like only you and your mama is reading the blog?
NOT 1 comments on your post unless its a giveaway comment to win?
Where do you start to look?
is the writing that bad?
is it just boring?
Where are my readers?
What do you do when all your hard work seem so unnoticed?
Why don’t people care anymore?
I wish someone would say something!
Say your blog SUCKS!
Your blog is boring!
Your blog make me wanna stop eating chocolate!
I just wish someone would say something, anything!

i think that is the problem with the whole follow you, follow me thing. its just about the numbers and rarely about real interaction. we start following so many blogs so we get followers but no one can possibly have enough time to read and comment on hundreds of blogs. i feel the same way you do sometimes. I think it takes moving beyond just the mom blog networks…not to say we are not great because we are, but almost all the blogs out there now are about reviews and giveaways that I for one am researching other more global blogs and content that falls into my niche.
That is so true! I blog to make friends not building numbers. if that I can just go back to talking to the babies and their stuff animal. LOL
Thanks for stopping by Dina
I also think it’s a numbers game. The whole get as many followers as you can to look “popular”. I find myself in the same situation. What does help with comments is that the ones who comment on my blog, are the ones I comment back on.
I wish I knew of better ways to get more comments….if you find any, let me know!
I know! its so easy to get stuck in the follow me group and have tons of followers but not real readers. The follow me groups are good if you do it right, when I follow someone I actually read their posts, I tweet with them exchange links, network full circle but its not always the case. especially the numbers starts to grow we all lose track.
I only comment on blogs that talk about life or business. I don’t comment on reviews. I feel that if you want to follow you need to comment. I will comment on your posts that are not reviews. Come follow me. and share with others.

I am having a hard time with mine. It’s been a month and well, even though it’s all about my child’s love for The Wiggles, their are a lot of mama fans out there too! I get lots of visitors but no comments and I lack in the follower department.
well its a hard world blogging! I’m looking for the secret when I find I will let you guys know! LOL
I hear you! I have had one giveaway..only one! I have days where my blog is on fire and the comments are jumping off the page and then other days that it is dry! Not one comment! And I try to reason with it..I’m a food blog, not everyone will like what I cook but then I cook asparagus and get comment after comment. Asparagus? Not my cake, not the cheesy food, but a flipping vegetable. LOL
I always comment back on anyone that comments on my blog and I find that I have the same handful of readers that are always on my site and I am always on their site. So I hope that helps.
Glad I found you NOW!

I know how you feel, sometimes I get very discouraged because you work so hard and then no comments. I go to other blogs and they get comments, I ask myself what am I doing wrong, so I change the format and join facebook to post freebies and still only a few. Its not a numbers game to me, its more like I get so excited when I see a comment from a friend and it makes you feel good, especially if you have had a bad day or just need some cheering up. So if you can help me with comments let me know. I love making new friends, isnt that what blogging is all about, reaching out to others who you may never meet but have a special bond with.
I loved your post it was just what I needed to read today! Thanks I will be back.
You are awesome. This is a great, honest and funny post, and I will be back to read more. And comment more too!
You guys made my day today. Thank you!
@Tammy It is very discouraging, I know we all say I blog for my self, for my sanity and stuff but truth is we need people, we need each other, when you thought of something and post it and no one care about it its very lonely! Makes me wanna go sing a Celine Dion song! LOL
The funny thing is, I was just talking to my husband about this last night, in tears. I think that there are SO many blogs out there, and I wish I could comment on everyone’s blogs that comments on mine and all the blogs I read, but there just aren’t enough hours in the day. So I try to spread the love and be fair, but it just turns out to be so “high school” in the end. And thankfully those days are LONG gone.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi (this is my first time here) and to hang in there! If you write…they will come!
I’ve had these days and I just keep on blogging. If you are blogging about what you love, it’s easy. Eventually you’ll connect with someone and get a comment. When they do comment it’s good to reply and converse with them. This starts to build a community. I know some bloggers who never thank their commenters or show that they are even read.
Hi – I enjoy reading your blog.
Could you maybe change the color and size of your font? It’s difficult to read. Just an observation….Keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you so much you guys for supporting me on my down day!
I’m back! thx to you all.
@Sherry I’m looking for a new template as we speak!
Hugs and kisses!
Ah now this is nice I’m liking this new look and feel!
The old one felt like a rusty cheese grater on my eyes…:-(
I post comments on articles that hit home to me. For my business I am on the look out for people that will try sample and do a review for me. I don’t really review give away sites because I don’t have time to work at the give aways. I homeschool, work a business, I am a grandma, plus I have two kids in public highschool that are in sports, so I really like to read articles that will help me or that I can comment with a life perspective to help others. Hope this helps.
