For those of you that are regular here at supermomplace we all know I have two small babies under 2… gasp! how did I manage to do that? well you stay pregnant for 2 years straight. Back to the subject, I have a super active 20 months old she alone is enough for anybody to deal with. She is super sensitive, when she is happy its to the max, when she’s unhappy she lets you know! then comes my 8 months (whom I’m weaning cold turkey this week) she is the happy baby, sits her down with some toy she is good for a good 10 minutes, or until her big sister drive by screaming “MINE!” and took the toys from her. Poor little baby umh. I don’t know if it has to do with the weaning my usually happy baby has become a bit whiny. She follow me around the house crying reaching her cute little arm with sad eyes that says mommy pick me up. I usually do, but yesterday I just couldn’t. So I call in my CELL PHONE. One of them had already downloaded some music on my phone and cost me big $$ in data. I figure I might as well put them to use. I turn the music on on my phone hand it to her. Boy! she was so exited, she was dancing and slabbing on the phone. 15 minutes later and $30 worth of data, she was calm and happy give me plenty of time to take care of my bizwack
I always heard how using the TV as a baby sitter is such a bad idea, which I totally agree with. I have never heard of the cellphone babysitter. I just found out about it and I kinda like it.
YEAH! it might cost you, phone might ended in the toilet or missing for days but its a great in home babysitter.
To all my super working moms, what do you think of the cell phone babysitter?

The working mom guilt is something I got over a long time ago… so I thought. I never realize that I was still carrying the working mom guilt around until TODAY!
Last night my 1 year old had a rough night. She was a little stuffed up, which led to coughing, which led to throwing up all at 2 o’clock in the morning. Long story short, I didn’t get much sleep and I had to be at work, in cases like that I would usually opted to work from home, but this week is one of those IMPOSSIBLE week to work from home.
I feel terrible that I have to leave her home, granted she is with my mom, which mean she is getting the very best possible care she can get, and I know how it works (I’ve been in the game for 2 years now you’d think I’d get use to it) but no I still feel terrible.
Its like last week I was complaining about school work (NOTE: if you didn’t know I’m a professional student), so my husband offer to take them to the park so I can study, I flip out. Poor thing didn’t understand: I just got home, I haven’t seen my babies for a whole day now you wanna take them to the park without me? What is wrong with you? I just couldn’t do it. I feel like robbing them of their precious mommy time that they desperately need (uh-uhm!) not really cause right after the give me a hug and heard park they were running yay! daddy park!
Well I guess I’m the one who desperately need my mommy time.
Do you guys do that? do you feel guilty leaving your kids for an extended period of time? even when you know you got to?

I recently receive and email from a certain group who shame me about greening my online presence. Apparently my little blog here is emitting HUGE amount of carbon (CO2) that I was ask to Offset my Website’s Carbon Footprint? So basically my option would be to send money and the would plant a tree for me or I could put a widget on my site that monitor how many visitors I get, where are they coming from and such it would tell me how electricity I’m burning, then would help me buy a Green-E certified Renewable Energy Certificates every month. OK now, don’t even ask me… I don’t know what that mean.
I always consider myself a GREEN person. A lot of stuff that they now consider to be green I have been doing them since I was a child, so technically I was green before they even had a name for it. I practice being green most of the time out of selfishness for example I shop at the local farmers market because I hate the line at the groceries store and they often don’t have the tropical fruits I like and the farmer’s food taste better. I hate driving so I always find a reason to carpool. I find organic ways to clean my house because the others stuff with the toxin in it give me headaches. I plant and garden because I find it fun, I like when my hibiscus open up in the morning with those bright red flowers and my 2 year old saying mommy “fowler peutty” it give me JOY! I like my ALOE VERA bushes, I love my palm tree, and my other plants that I don’t know their names.
So really what is GREEN? is it like buying absolution? do whatever you like then plant a tree it’ll make it all better?
I don’t think so! its about being good steward and taking care of the place you live in. Did you realize that after creation the first order God gave Adam was to take care of this place?
Planting a tree is cool, buying some GREEN certificate to neutralize your carbon footprint is cool but really taking CARE of the place we live on a daily basis is even COOLER!
SO tell me, what are you doing to keep our Earth GREEN?
